About Growing Personnel
The mission of Growing Personnel is to help businesses foster elevated thinking in their employees.
An employee's skill set determines the work they can do. It's all about their knowledge of and experience with technology, equipment, processes, procedures, and materials.
An employee's character determines the quality of their work. Their character will determine how well they perform their job functions. What is the degree of integrity, accuracy, completeness, efficiency, and effectiveness that they strive for? How positive is their attitude and how well do they get along with coworkers?
Most businesses hire for skill sets but when it comes to firing someone, it's usually due to a character deficiency.
The only thing that improves the character of a person is for them to become a better person through higher-level thinking.
Elevated thinking changes who we are. Who we are is the foundation for what we do.
Unless you have a plan in place to help your employees elevate their thinking, we can safely assume that most of them will not do so on their own.
Growing Personnel has developed a course titled "Thinking at the Speed of Life." The 8-week Shift from Effort to Excellence. It is designed to help employees connect their thinking to their job performance. The course utilizes information and exercises to lead employees through the process of elevating their thinking, thereby improving the quality of their work.

About Justin T. Peterson
Experienced. Certified. Supportive.

Justin was born in French Equatorial Africa (now the Central African Republic), the youngest of six children born to missionary parents. Justin recalls his mother placing inspirational messages around the house while he was growing up. One that stood out to him was a quote from Richard S. Taylor’s book, The Disciplined Life, “The world is full of naturally brilliant people who never rise above mediocrity because they are not willing to make the sacrifice which superiority requires.” That served to inspire Justin to begin a lifelong quest to see how far he could grow.
Justin's career has consisted mainly of management positions in the hospitality and financial services industries. His passion is helping people grow so they can realize their potential and knows that before you can “accomplish,” you have to “become.” Justin believes that what we do is based on the foundation of who we are. His observation that helping employees become better people has been neglected in the workplace led him to write "Thinking at the Speed of Life", a course to help employees connect their thinking to their job performance. He founded Growing Personnel to help businesses foster elevated thinking within their employees.
Justin is a certified John C. Maxwell Coach/ Trainer/ Teacher and Speaker.
"There are significant problems that need solving at all levels of society, from the basic family unit up to international corporations and the governments of nations. The world is crying out for people who think at a higher level. The world needs people who can provide solutions, but you cannot give what you do not possess. I'm challenging all of us to see how far we can grow." -Justin T. Peterson
